Directions

The Rico Resort Chiang Kham is located in Phayao province, 1 hour and 15 minute drive southeast of Chiang Rai International Airport or a picturesque and leisurely 3 hour drive from Chiang Mai.

From Chiang Rai (Chiang Rai International Airport): (1 hour 15 minute drive)

The resort can arrange a driver to collect guests from the airport (4 pax max) price 1,500 B.  For (5 to 12 pax) a local Mini Van can be hired (1,800 – 2,000) at the airport.  Please contact the reservation team in advance by email or by phone # 66-(0)81-882-9756. If guests decide to rent a car, this can easily be done at Chiang Rai Airport. It is best to buy a good map at the airport shop (we recommend: “ThinkNet”) good detail. The town of “Chiang Kham is well marked on the map) roughly 90 km southeast of the airport. The entrance to The Rico Resort Chiang Kham is a small street directly across from the entrance of Chiang Kham Hospital.

(Basic route: Hwy 1020 to Thoeng (50 minutes), continue on Hwy 1021 (20 minutes to Chiang Kham)

From Chiang Mai: (3 hours drive)

It is a gorgeous drive over some very scenic mountain ranges and across  the vast plains of the Phayao rice fields . Again the resort driver can meet guests anywhere in Chiang Mai (4 pax max) price 2,500 B.  For (5 to 12 pax) a local (Chiang Mai) Mini Van can be hired for 3,300 B or for 1,800 B per day + gas . The Rico Resort Chiang Kham have Mini Van drivers who know the resort well and speak excellent English. Please contact the reservations team in advance by email or by phone # 66-(0)81-882-9756. If guests decide to rent a car, this can easily be done at Chiang Mai International Airport.
